This afternoon the Everett Fire Department responded to two houses on East Heather Way in the Valley View neighborhood of Everett.
Police blocked the roadway at Juniper & East Heather Way. The fire occurred on the 7300 block of East Heather Way, at the end of the dead end road.
Powerlines were down in the area, but the cause hasn’t been determined yet.
Here’s the Everett Fire Department’s original post:
Everett Fire is working to extinguish two house fires in the Valley View neighborhood on E Heather Way. No reported injuries. There is an extensive amount of fire hose in the roadway on narrow streets, please keep out of the area to allow firefighters to work and do not drive over fire hose. There are also power lines down. We will update as more information is available.
Snohomish County PUD and Puget Sound Energy are on scene as well. Everett Police Department have the roadway blocked at Juniper & E Heather.

The fire is tapped and crews are in overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Please continue to keep clear of the incident scene while crews continue their work and clean up. As a reminder, do not drive over any fire hose if you are making your way through the neighborhood, it is dangerous for the firefighters and you, and costly.
